Will needed a banner to bring to the protest for Gaza. This painting
aimed to highlight the immense profits gained by certain companies
during times of war, underscoring how capitalism drives conflicts
where financial gain often outweighs human lives. The artwork
explicitly portrays the significant increase in these companies' profits in
the weeks and months following the war, aiming to visually inform
people about the economic motivations behind conflicts.
Beneath the words on the banner, there is a scratched-in phrase,
"I have to fight god and demon" borrowed from the video game "Halo"

Will finds it intriguing that despite common perceptions that such
games desensitise violence, they actually teach players about the gravity of war and the value of human life. Additionally, Will's great-grandfather immigrated to the UK from Iraq during a time when there was little understanding of Islam and Muslims in the UK. Working with the British Museum, his great-grandfather obtained citizenship and experienced acceptance within his community. Will draws inspiration from this personal history and incorporates it into his artwork.

Through his paintings and accompanying banners, Will addresses issues of cultural blending and the misunderstandings fuelled by misinformation, often perpetuated by the media. The artwork serves as
a powerful reminder for people to critically evaluate information and
actively challenge misinformation to foster better understanding and
promote peace.
